Gemayel Murder, Investigation, Blah Blah Blah

The assassination of Lebanon and its institutions continues unabated. Today a cabinet minister and an MP, Pierre Gemayel. We descend yet to another of the circles of hell. I'm too sick to write about this now.

The authorities promised an investigation to find the culprits. Should I laugh or should I cry? Is that getting beyond sick or what? Yeah, they are also "investigating" who fired at Minister Michel Pharaon's office hours after Gemayel was gunned down.

I just offer the usual pic, with the usual clueless security guys standing around not knowing what to do with themselves. Can you blame them when their higher-ups are even more clueless?

Remember Interior Minister Fatfat and his stupid secret letter? Memo-to-self: I am threatened by a foreign country, but it's a secret. Today, he accused Syria of Pierre Gemayel's murder. The time to speak up and show your evidence was then, you stupid idiot. Back to the pic, not exactly a picture of confidence in the "investigation."

    just a small reminder:
in the 80's Pierre asked a republican guard charged of his protection to shoot a guy that refused him the priority on the road, in zouk mickael. The guy died from his wound

in 2006, some jackass ordered pierre gemayel to be shoot in his car

    coincidence ....

anyway let him rest in peace

Dear idiotic anonymous 3 and by consequence 4:

You should go back to school
    80's with an ' followed by a S covers a period from Jan 1, 1980 to Dec 31, 1989

I guess it won't be a luxuary to send you back to kindergarder for you to learn how to count

You have something to say: SAY IT.

anyway let him rest in peace

I don't believe you. Hypocrites like you always say "we condemn" but quickly add "remember all these bad things about him or about his grandfather".

Typical crap. Whether you like the man or not, or agree with him or not, this assassination is a blow to the WHOLE country and to the authority of the (non-existent) state.

I've tangled elesewhere with people saying: it's just one guy. No it's not.

He was a symbol of the state as an MP and cabinet member, and after Hariri, Tueni etc and on the eve on Nov 22 the message is clear.

You want to focus on what the cook of his grandmother did years ago, be my guest but that does help anyone.

    Dear Josey

My point is about the morale of the story, all those that killed in the past, and didnt passed through court are like followed by a sort of malediction
there is a proverb, the ones who are killing by the swords will be killed by a sword!

i dont mind having the criminals at a point or another being killed because justice was not applied for the lebanese.

you are talking about him but you are forgetting his bodyguard chartoni, we are talking about hariri's tribunal, are we talking about fleyhane tribunal? Are we talking about tueni tribunal etc...

Moreover it is a morale to all the killed past, present and for the futur, there is somehow a kind of justice at one time or another following them.

now if you like the cook of his grandmother, be my guest ;), ate there long time ago

    anon,

-I don't believe Pierre killed anyone

-You keep changing the subject. We can talk about Tueni tribunal, Shartoni, and even Darfur but one thing at a time.

You sound like those who want to discuss 1948 whatever the news item of the day. Not useful.

The worst thing was watching Lahoud's feigned anger and his calls for a thorough investigation. What bs...

America and Israel have the most to gain by keeping the Middle East fighting among themselves.

No the Syrian Baath does, it cannot survive without strife and mayhem.
