Saniora: Straitjacket Time

From the The Daily Star, National Dependence Day 2007, our very own PM:

Siniora assures Lebanese security under control

Premier Fouad Siniora [Sanioura] said Wednesday in a speech to mark Lebanon's Independence Day that "the Lebanese can [be assured] that their national and daily security is being safeguarded, and their institutions are functioning well."

With a deadlocked presidential election and hours to go, with parliament shut down for over a year, and with empty benches on the supreme court, and with people worried sick about their future, our "institutions are functioning well"?

Is there a word for this manure other than: "$*^!$% STRAITJACKET?"

Wow, it seems like you are really current with Lebanese affairs.
What would you like the Prime Minister to say to the Lebanese people who are sick and tired of Aoun and Hizbullah wanting a President, 45% of the cabinet and the speaker.
Do you want him to tell them that to freak out and go mad?
The biggest problem is that a good sum of idiots in Lebanon are so hateful that they can not understand the accomplishments of this government of course in light of what happened in the last tow years and more specifically the Hizbullah venture in 2006 that put the country back 20 years and of course it was expected that PM Sanioura would pick up the pieces.

Before you criticise Sanioura you need to know that all his well informed critics have managed only to flap their mouths without one shred of evidence.

On the contrary the crystal clear evidence of the long held tradition of Hizbullah to go back on promises is shown yet again. They promised the Patriarch to go the Parliament with one name and if not with two or three where the President will be elected. What did they really do? I will let you read and guess.

    B7ebbak,

I criticized inept Saniora on many other occasions.

This short post is about ONE thing, a CRAZY statement by the PM.

If you think the governmental institutions in Lebanon are "functioning", suit yourself.
